The Con-nection Deaf-Blind Support Foundation launched a social digital-project about the world of the deaf-blind. This is the first educational online game about life by touch, the purpose of which is to enable everyone to understand the world perception of people with simultaneous impairment of hearing and vision. The idea and implementation of the project were the social marketing agency RedMe and the millennial communications agency ROOM485 (included in the RCG group of companies). Earlier, within the framework of information support of the project, the foundation launched a video announcing the release of the game.
The following mechanics are in the basis of the interactive game: the user is offered to guess objects through filters that are created on the basis of the medical description of various visual ailments and diseases, while “feeling” their texture with the help of audio effects.
The whole game consists of five levels with increasing difficulty. To go to the next level, you must answer the question “What is in front of you?” by choosing one of four options. The faster the objects are guessed and the less mistakes are made, the more points you can score. At the end, users will be able to find out how they would feel in the world of deaf-blind, share a link to the game in social networks, and make a donation to the Connection Foundation.
